Most of us believe in something bigger than ourselves. We know we’re not the greatest in the universe, things don’t begin and end with us. We’re a small spoke on the wheel. We’re all here for our time, and most of us make the best of it while we’re here. That’s where our faith comes in.
Others of us don’t believe in anything bigger than themselves. I find that sad. I know I don’t have all the answers to the hard questions in life. They believe once we die that’s all there is. I feel in my heart there is so much more ahead of us. Again, I only know what we were taught in the Catholic School/Church and at home.
My belief in God is stronger now than ever; I don’t know about all the rules of the Catholic Church. I believe God is much larger than we were taught; and He’s certainly more forgiving. I believe in His mercy and love. I pray a lot, and at this point in my life, my prayers are more of Thanksgiving than intersession. I do, however, pray for friends and family who are ill or in need of intervention.
Other than that, on a world scale, I am very secure living in the United States of America. I believe in our military who protect us 24/7, and I still believe in Freedom and Human Rights, Free Speech, and many of our other rights listed in the Constitution. We are the most lucky people on earth. Thank you, America!
At a neighborhood level, we love our neighborhood in small-town Gretna. We love our neighbors, and the nature we observe every day. We’re very blessed to live where we do. I have a lot of security in my husband, the Babe. I have no security worries relating to the Babe. He looks out for my welfare as a great mate are does, while encouraging my independence. Thankful, grateful, blessed. How about you? Where is your security? How did you learn about it? Do you still believe in it?
Tonight was another class for Intentional Peer Support. We have another person, and the Babe will join us tomorrow night, too. I’m learning a lot, and I look forward to working with people wherever and however it unfolds. It’s all in God’s hands, and He’ll let me know where He wants me to show up.
Have a beautiful evening, and we’ll see each other tomorrow. Be safe.
