Laid-Back Saturday

Had some major tonnage of laundry this week; that is finally finished. For only two people in the house, we sure have a lot of laundry.

I appreciate the Babe is such a clean person. He’s always showered, ready to greet the day fairly early. It’s something their Mom taught them; you might not have the best clothes, but soap is cheap and so is water. Being clean is a must, not optional. It’s how Mom raised us, too.

Growing up just after the depression, people were all poor or very poor. They still had a sense of pride. They didn’t ask for help; and made do with what they had. They were hard workers and mostly honest. Some people were con-men and women, but this was the exception, not the rule.

We finished planting flowers this morning. It was nice to be outside, although it was quite windy. The dogs love to loll about on the lawn, basking in the sunshine. Sign me up, too. Hoping there won’t be low temps tonight, it’s rather breezy and chilly. Isn’t it time for spring to really come and stay? The flowers would appreciate it. So would we.

Enjoy your Saturday, and know we’ll see each other tomorrow. Be safe out there.
